About The Living Quill
The Living Quill is a place for words to bring to life the joy and beauty that is ever present in nature, in the specialness of animals, and the gift of imagination ignited into creative tangibility. It's about bringing what is life affirming forward with the intent of creating positive experiences, exchanges, and outcomes for the highest good of all.
My intent with my children's books is to blend the magical with the tangible, to bridge the gap between imagination and everyday interactions. We must remember that creative expression comes from how we see the world and that is enhanced by connecting with nature, with animals, and by witnessing, interacting with, and seeing our part in God's creation. I believe we can forge a higher perception that invites in expression over perfection, an invitation to see how special life is amidst seemingly ordinary days. It's time for more connection with the natural and less connection with digital distractions.
Society is losing itself, its senses and sensibility inside a technical takedown where all that makes us living beings, that which makes us human, is being erased. Authentic individuality is one of God's gifts to each of us, my hope is that we can remember this and take time to stop, to read, to connect, to seek higher ideals.
Nothing can spark a child's curiosity and imagination like reading...it exercises the mind, the eyes, and the soul...it inspires ones own creative expression. My books breathe topics like nature, curiosity, wonder, and togetherness to the pages....the things we all hold as universal truths inside of us but forget when we fall into the trap of what is normalized.
My gratitude journal is a way to deepen self awareness and appreciation for all that life is, all it can be, and all that we've learned from living it. Daily tasks help to maintain presence through contemplation and questioning, while breathing and focusing on gratitude help to foster focus and intention towards more aligned action, towards giving.
In a world of chaos, I believe we must all deepen our curiosity and discernment, seek greater clarity and understanding, strengthen intuition and conviction for truth, re-enchant imagination, as well as walk in heightened connection with nature and beauty...to remember who we are and why we are here....to rediscover the magic of simply living and living simply.
